How to waterproof shoes correctly: guide and care tips
A suitable waterproofing treatment can help protect shoes from moisture and dirt adhesion. The material, a clean surface and complete drying are essential.

1. Check the material
Identify smooth leather, nubuck, suede, textile, mesh, synthetic material or mixed surfaces. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions and test on a discreet area.
2. Clean the shoes
Do not apply protector over dust, salt marks or visible dirt. Find suitable products in Shoe cleaning.
3. Let the shoes dry completely
Dry at room temperature and avoid direct heat.
4. Apply evenly
Use sprays outdoors or in a well-ventilated area. The Power Protector 250 ml is intended for selected leather, textile and climate-membrane materials. For many sneakers, use the Sneaker Power Protector 150 ml.

5. Let the protection dry
Wear the shoes only after the treated surface is fully dry. Renew the protection when water no longer beads sufficiently or after thorough cleaning, according to the product instructions.
